Ir 4570 copies through out adf lgl size cannot come clearly?????

When you are making copies thru the ADF, are you selecting the paper to be copied onto, or is the selection set to AUTO?

Try it on AUTO,, if it feeds shorter paper than your original, then the problem lies in your ADF, because it cannot sense the paper length. Check your entry tray length sensors,, they both should be activated by legal paper or longer.

In auto paper select mode thru adf .....

I can put in to a4r paper in adf and set to guide a4r. And paper select set in to auto. O.k then press start key.. It will take a scan just moving paper then it will ask load the ltr R paper....auto set it will go to lgl tray displays.

Next one ..

I can put into lgl paper and set to guide lgl in adf then set to auto paper select .then press start key as well as just moving ..it will ask load the 11x17 size paper .. Auto select goes to a3 tray displays...

What to do????

[[i think in CASE IN feeder function cannot set to a4r ,lgl,a3 PAPER sizes.,, THAT Y CANNOT DETECT OTHER SIZES]]

but...

I WANT MAKE A COPIES THRU ADF A4 ,LGL, A4R ,A3 COPIES....

I DONT USE WHAT U CHOOSE PAPER SIZES..

then how can you adjust above you choose paper sizes.. then to my paper sizes..

in function mode there are a4, a5r, ltr,ltrr sizes only displays..

but there is no display other sizes...


so what to do mr fixit.......

okay people we have small communication problem.The paper seshu is refering to LGL/Legal .The length of the paper is different from what canon knows as LGL. I had the same problem with ADF in 605 onwards. We have somehow managed to work around the problem.I'll check and get the details.if what i assume is correct then in copy .5 inch from the trailing edge would be erased.


Why its not working in A3 i have no idea. So either his adf has a problem or someone has screwed up the settings.


my suggestion to seshu is first forget about LGL ,try to get A4R and A3 correct , check your adf in another machine if you have.

iam already checked two mechines...
these mechines worked perfectly.. a4,lgl, a4r,a3 .. these are copies worked thru adf...

my mechine also worked all sizes in adf / platern whenever iam newly take the mechine...worked great . iam apreciated that time also..

mostly iam using in that time a4 copies heavily.

after one month completed ..it will come some problem. copies came out one side poor light and one side copy good. means page horigentally half page light half page dark..

then iam complaint gives whenever iam taking my mechine. he service engineer) will come and checking all parts. allare very good. last chance will goto he do a ram reseted.

then it will comes very good. in that time iam not checked all sizes in adf.

after some days iam checked lgl (legal) , a4r , and a3 . (without a4) thru adf. cannot come clearly. half page copy printed. half page white.
then problem i found it.

that's y my problem it comes whenever he reseted the ram.
i think he ram reseted . all functions including feeder functions also erased/reseted..

that's y adf cannot take other sizes (without a4)..

now i want in feeder function set to lgl (legal), a4r and a3 paper sizes.
how??????
in feeder function displays a4, a5r, ltr, ltrr. sizes . i also checked

hi..i think your broplem is related to the cassette paper size ...you have to specify the paper size of the cassette by turning the paper size knob to the desired paper size.. A4...A4R...A3..etc..check & adjust the size of paper in the cassette..i hope it is help.

The clearing/resetting procedure knocks out those settings.

Just do the A4 and A5R settings. Do as I described. Put the guides in the proper place for the paper type, highlight that setting in the left column, and then press the o.k. button. The machine will now take those two settings to determine the width of the page, no matter where you place the guides thereafter. I can make myself no clearer on this procedure....

place the proper paper and place the right paper size guide. and press the o.k button..

result is : service .. o.k !

every time iam checking result its comming.. o.k!!!

FeedSize _____ pls try one copy lgl or FLSCP Paper. FeedSIze shown the machine's sensor read. pls check out the FeedSize if LGL we'll get blank white the correct is FLSCP

2. Pls to setting :
Copier (level 1) Option > Body > ModelSZ= 3 ( 0 = A Type, 1= Inch, 2= B, 3= Inch and A/B Type
Copier (Level 2) Option > Body > ORG_LGL = 1 ( default is 0 )

3. if it doesnot work pls Re-Install the System Software.

This problem is only adf!!!

O.k.. I will check whatever you says....

I will go to first feed size try to a one lgl copy in to adf.... That is displys feed size is empty... When put lgl copy and press to start it will disply feed size j-b4 and try wide displays 1562.

as well as i go to a4r- feed size displys ..j-b5r and try wide displys 1485.

now what to do????

The other thing you may want to check on the tray
Check the Switch on the RH side at the front
NOT the dial, but the little white plastic switch right of the dial
Had it once and it confused the hell out of me till i swapped C1 & C3 over
