Canon C1 questions
We've got a customer looking for a machine that will handle heavy stock and 12x18. They have another machine for copy and scan purposes so it can be a flat-top or just a printer. I am a Sharp tech but have worked on Canon's as well as other makes for 20 years.
It's got to be a used machine due to their budget and they are using a C3200 now.
Q1: What is the C1's PM cycle (approx cost of supplies would be helpful) and whether to expect to have to do the PM early.
Q2: Are the toner yields close to the OEM stated yields (based on recommended coverage)
Q3: Are there many strange problems to be encountered not generally covered in the service manual? This machine probably won't be doing more than 50K/yr.
I've been given recomendations for Xerox 242, KonMinC550 and Canon C1 but might have to settle on a C3220 if they won't pony up with the cash.
