Side deck T1

I have a IR8500 with a Side deck T1 (11x17) sales rep sold the cust a 9070 and wants to switch the Side deck to the 9070, Is this possible?
If possible dose the frimware need to be updated,is there a software switch that needs to be set
All and Any help is welcome

"Side Paper Deck-S1 LDR - 8825A002AA" is the large paper deck as listed in the service guide. I can't give you a definitive answer beyond that. I can't imagine that there would be any harm in trying the T1 on the 9070. On all of these copiers, they are self aware of certain accessories, should be plug & play...
