    ir3570 to ir4570

    Hi to all,

    From what i know ir3570 able to upgrade to ir4570. what we need for the upgrade?

    Any recomandation website to buy a spareparts. We are having difficulty of getting some of the parts like FG6-4941-000 - DC Controller PCB for ir5000. Does anyone selling a new unit of the DC Board?

      You sell the 3570 and then buy a 4570. That's how you upgrade.

            my boss ask me this question 2 days ago on how to upgrade and i told him i got no idea thats why i source from internet see either theres an answer. But from your question that you make me feel like its illegal or something to do with dishonourable. Am i rite?

              If I was you I will be very bold and tell your boss that there is no way to do this.

                  To toss in my own two cents worth, or rupee, or dinar...

                  As long as you still represent the copier as a 3570, even thought it is now as fast as a 4570, there would be no issue. But as soon as you represent the copier as a 4570, then you are committing fraud. Working on these copiers is hard enough with out throwing in spooky problems that would be the result of this bastardization.

                      These are controlled parts by Canon. You can not just change ID Eco PCBS and Counter Chip PCBS.

                        It would be more cost effective to buy the 4570. It am not sure it would ever work correctly. Looking at the parts for these two machines, boards, assemblies, motors, etc would have to be changed as they have different part numbers. (motor probably rated at different speeds)
