    Dadf features

I have a cust who has 2 different model canons- they would like the document feeder not to require the first page on top after a jam.
They would rather just have it pick up where it jammed. I've explained the feature and how it works, however they insist. I've looked in service manuals for both the base model and dadf. Anybody know who to de-activate this feature? Thanks!

      Just the way it is...

Screwtape is right on this as ususal , the way the dadf works during jam recovery is built into it's machine dna, the copier cannot be persuaded to perform scanning in any manner other than the way it was designed.

I'd like the sun to rise in the west,, alas,, it won't do that for me either ...
