iRC3080 Secure Print & Department id

    Two Canon iRC3080 copiers
After enableing Department id in both machines, secure print no longer works in one of two copiers.
Secure printing window, to insert username and passwod, does not pop-up after ok is pressed when starting printing.
Black\White copying and printing is allowed without department id e.g. allow black and withe print jobs with unknown id.
Both machines operate under one printserver windows server 2003 sr2 32 bit. Cluster server
Driver used is PCL6 ver 6.35
    Copiers operating firmware version 89.01

I used my laptop to print over tcp\ip, windows vista, secure print worked fine together with department id.

What could be causing this? is it in the settings of the copier or could there be something wrong with the installed drivers?

    Best Wishes,

I have had similar printing problem to ir3300 when department ID turn on.
The print server is server 2003 sp3 64bit. client station is Xp sp3.

I think the link below may helps, although not the same machine.

Copytechnet is a good place to search.

Try enabling job accounting in your printer driver.

Job accounting is enabled, been think about it all day and i have come to the conclusion that it's something to do with job accounting settings. Allow black and white print jobs. I will test them tomorrow.

Delting the printer driver and adding it again, solved the problem.
No port deleting. Must have been a problem with faulty printer driver files.
