iR3300 fax

fax always show "recieving..."

tried to clear using service mode > fax > clear > all

still same problem. is this a setting issue or a faulty hardware issue?

There might be a fax job stuck on the HDD. In service mode go Copier>function>system>CHK-TYPE.
Select 1, hit ok.
Select HD-CLEAR and ok.
Go back to CHK-TYPE and select 2, hit ok.
Select HD-CLEAR and ok.
Reboot. Also, leave the phone line disconnected when your doing all this. When you get a ready screen then connect the phone line.

sorry for not being to clear about the problem.let me explain a bit more:

I'm using a single machine to test 1 batch of purchased fax board.
some boards are tested ok, some boards have this "recieving error"
so I don't think the problem would be from the machine hdd.

2nd the error "recieving" would come even if the phone line is not attached.

any other ideas?
