    Edge erase on ir 3200

Hello I am new to the cannon line. Does the ir 3200 have an top edge erase feature that can be turned on and off?

Also does anyone know the acess code for the tech rep mode for this machine?

There is no on/off for lead edge. In service mode you can adjust all 4 sides of the page for blanking. If the lead edge is too little, jams will frequently occur in the fuser.
I'd check the cassette position first, then cassette guides as these are mechanical.

Thank you roho! The lead edge is ok. But there is void at the top of the page that seems more like a margin than a void. Is that adjustable in this machine also?

          Thank you again!

AS Roho suggested, your first stop should be to make sure the cassettes are lined up to the image. Make a simple test chart, place a line an inch from the top of the page, put the page on the glass, line to the rear edge of the glass. Make a copy. Adjust the latch stop at the front of the cassettes to make sure the line is one inch from the edge. Do this for all paper sources.

When you are sure that the paper is tracking correctly,, then you can go into service mode to adjust blanking if needed.

Make sure you do the trick on the glass before you attempt adjustments to the doc feed alignment as well...

You can also try adjusting [Blank T] for the top image blank width leading edge in service mode.
