    IRC3100n Error code# E000020-0081

    Hi,

Got an error on one of my machine, error code#E000020-0081, Tried cleaning the patch image reading sensor window and re-inserted developer and drum several times to fit in properly and still i get this message appearing on the screen.

Does it have to do with the toner cartridges? or any other explananation?

    Rgds

    Try replacing the drum.

Thanks for the reply, have tried replacing with a new drum still got the error message. Had the one old drum replaced and still got the error meassge displayed again.

Could this be something to do with Toner?

By patch sensor, are you refering to the one just to the 10 o'clock position on the drum area? Some folks get confused by the sensor with the shutter to the left of the rotary. Have you cleaned it with compressed air? You seem to have ruled out the drum. Are the copies clean? I have seen drums suck their clean blades in and leave dirty surface on the drum. If you have and you are still having problems, you may want to replace that sensor to see if that gives your problem relief...
