    1023 e000

Got a 1023n with a e000. replaced fuser and it went away. next day on startup error came back. going to replace dc pcb next or maybe firmware first but wondering if anyone has had this error on this machine before. I have serviced over 100 1023/1025s and never have seen this error
    thanks

Pretty crappy design flaw there. Im assuming the dc controller send a signal to axe the fuser. now I have 2 fusers, one brand ne and 18k on the other that will not work . when put into a new machine the E code comes up. Canon support says there is not reset and they were of little help. still troubleshooting will update.

The dc Controller was bad and would keep sending bad signals to blow the fuse in the fuser. Replaced dc controller and all is fine except the trashed fusers. i took one apart and found the fuse. the fuse is soldered and crimped to a stranded wire and plastic must be broken to remove. high temp apoxy used to reseat a newly soldered fuse to the fuser. apoxy'd the plastic that holds the fuse, not the actual fuse.
      all problems solved.
