Canon iR2800 Turn off Fax Auto Rx?

Does anyone know how to disable the auto rx on the Canon iR2800 Fax system?

I have searched through all service manuals, user guides, forums, etc. Client needs it turned off. Only uses it for outbound.

Being "pissy" with someone who is trying to help you isn't they way to make friends now Mr fuser.

Look under additional functions>communication settings

you should be able to find the RX adjustments in there.

Of course this is an older machine and I haven't looked at one in several years so I am not 100% on this.

Can't find anything on manual RX either.
I would try setting a password for RX or set the T1 timer to max. It should ring like 12 times before it will answer, hopefully most fax machines will give up after 5 or 6 rings.

Go additional functions > system settings > Communication settings > Receive password. Enter some ridiculous password.

Enter service mode > Fax > #3Numeric Param. > 11. Set it to 9999.
