Have you tried swapping the front doors over, there's also an adjustable magnet that holds the front door shut inside the copier that might help.

Unit 1 shouldn't trigger a close front cover message. Go with skynets suggestion. Try cheating the front interlock.

Yea, the magnet needs adjusting or replaced.

I tried swapping the front door but still no joy.

One question : Is there a wire connected from the front door directly to dc controller board?

The arm from the front door "pushes" a switch/sensor on the unit side. What may be happening is the arm may be bent and missing the switch - or the door magnet is too far forward and preventing the arm from pushing in all the way.

As was said, try cheating the door. If that works, check the arm function. If cheating does not work, check the door switch.

I may be slow, but I am not sure what the issue is here. If it says close the front door when you open tray one who cares. Both the drawer and door need to close for it to run. Does it say that when you open the door? Does it run ok otherwise? If on the other hand it never sees the door close or it won't stay closed make sure the magnet is not broken and the switch is ok.
Is the glass half full or half empty? I say neither. The glass is obviously full, full of potential. The potential to hold more water or the potential to quench a thirst. Life is all about how you see it.
