Quickest answer would be that the system software is hanging the copier during boot. Reload system software,, be sure to choose the Overwrite function in the lower left corner of SST. You may want to try the scandisk function as well. Start copier, holding down 1 & 9, It will start out with a white box in upper left corner, they will cascade down as the test proceeds. It concludes at the download screen.

hi,try switching multi broadcast off under system set up or try changing the ip address.

hi,i might of been a bit way off with what i suggested,do you get any errors can u get into service mode do you have service support tool and software.can you swap parts to another mc to test.

I have not heard if you tried the system software reload... Do you have the tools needed to perform that task? I still believe it is your best bet.

Hi THUK, i'm affarid no error numbers come up? i dont even know what the service mode is and i dont have service support tool or software also i cant swap parts to test.

Call a Canon tech-He'll have the computer soft ware to reload your copier.
You have little choice at this point.
