    T1 finisher jams

i have a 5570, with a t1 fins. intermittenly gives me a 1104 jam. have checked canon site. everything they suggest doesnt seem to be an issue. seems as though the shutter on the fns is slamming closed when it should be open. it should only shut when the trays are moving. its ok with tray 2, but when they print to tray 3, you hear a loud bang as the shutter closes when it shouldnt. going to try swapping the shutter clutch and home position sensor today. any other ideas??

I seem to recall having a jamming issue that was resolved by replacing FL2-0807-000 stopper arm. If you open the top cover and it almost looks like a diverter gate with guides made of white plastic. Either that fixed it or I found something like a burr on the plastic or mylar coming off while I had that assembly out to replace that part, I can't remember which. My memory ain't what it used to be.

It has been my experience that when the clutch in the front starts to fail, that you usually end up E584 shutter errors because the clutch quits during the lift. I do know I've seen a few out in the field that do close a little louder than others, but never dug too deep.
