How to format new Hard disk using SST

Can u please let me know how to copy a hard disk to a new hard disk using the SST.
Also , can u let me know where can I get the latest version of SST.
And the software for IR 3530 in SST.

Let me tell you about my self, by qualification I am software engineer. I have started learning and repairing job of Zerox machine. Specially Cannon machine. I want to start my own business rather then doing job on salary.

I went over may forums, but I like this forum because each and every point is covered while replying to the queries raised by the user.

I am suck with one of my client where due to light fluctuation Canon IR 3300 is not functioning. It is problem of hard disk software.

I need to format the HD and upload the software. Can I get the software and related instruction so that I can take next step toward my carrier.

Please send me the link from were I can download all these.

still not on track....

Yesterday I tried the software STT, but it is unable to connect to my laptop.
I am using LAN corss cable to connect to the IR 3300. Is I am doing wrong

One more issue with canon IR 3300. The HDD is of 20 GB. It boot slow. After few time it start slowing down the function and then hangs. In the "System Monitor" - "Avail. memory" is showing 100%. Is it memory issue. How to delete/clean it, please help me.

if avalaible memory is %100, anything does not wrong.

it is good. memory is completely empty.

may be your cross cable is not working.

did you try to change it?

I hate to tell you all this but version 4.11 has issues and there is a workaround. I dont have that info in front of me so cant help. Best you wait until the issue is resolved and go back to 4.04 or 3.35. Formatting issues is one of them.

You can't use a network card with the SST (at least for some of the really important things) even if you have it on the IR2200 series (consists of 2200,2800 and 3300).

Is there an option in SST 4.11E to use bi-centronics instead of network? You can use that with an IEEE1284 (aka bi-centronics) parallel cable. Make sure your computer's parallel port is configured for ECP support in the BIOS (usually you can access this by pressing a button such as F10 soon after you switch on the machine), and in the device manager settings for the parallel port.

If you wish to use a USB port you need to have a nethawk cable (special usb-to-parallel cable) and to install the nethawk driver on your computer.
