    Hi DR,
The cable Screwtape is referring to is not simply a USB to parallel printer interface cable. There is something different about it, I don't know what it is that is different, and I don't need to know. Mine was provided to me by my employer. The cable is expensive! The original one was referred to as a Nethawk cable, I don't know what Canon is calling the new cable. They are simply not available to the general public, hence the need to acquire them from a Canon dealer.

      Mr fixit51, & Screwtape,
That is kinda what I was thinking, only available from a dealer. Ok.
I think I know someone not far away that may help with that cable.
I just got a request to make an IR3300i scan. I sold this machine with the
network goodies. It may already be set up to scan.
I need some operator manuals so I can explain to the customer how to
scan. After I learn. I've seen someone use it before. It did a pull scan,
and they pulled it into the server, I believe.
And I may have some other files about this too.

Thanks for your help. I am sure I will post again about the scan request.

Yes you can scan to folder or Email. The way to set this up is thru your address book settings under additional functions or RUI. The easiest why to do this is to browse the network and see what is broadcasting then place and Scan folder within the file servers that pop up. To do email you would need to set up this using SMTP creditials.
