    By pass paper issue

I have IR3300 photo copier and I am facing paper passing from bypass tray. Everytime machine gives error PAPER JAM. So in this case I need to open & close side door.
In short after every copy for the next copy I need to open & close side door other wise paper does not go into the machine from bypass tray.
I presume that after successful copy machine does not come to normal position whenever I open & close side door it comes to normal position or resets all porcess and so paper passes successfully.
    Please guide

Sounds like either the spring clutch that drives that plastic cam, that raises the paper lead edge up in the bypass tray may have some issues, or you could be missing a part on the side door that is pressed against by that cam, that raises the paper up.

Look at a working 3300, check out the operation, look at the black plastic piece that is operated by the cam on the clutch. I believe you are going to find your problem in that area.

Try a new feed roller and seperation pad if the paper is raising up, but not feeding.

I would have said it like mrfixit51. That black plastic piece that hits the cam may be missing and that will make it look for paper in the bypass.

              lever

most of the time i have seen when this lever is missing the copier always thinks there is paper in the bypass tray cause the ramp is always up blocking the photo sensor ... you can hold the spring loaded ramp down with your fingers to see if the display changes

Thanks for help. But black lever shown in picture is fine its spring action is perfect. But cam which pushes the lever does not rotate every time. It rotates every alternate time.

Then it may be the spring wrap clutch that I mentioned, or the solenoid that releases the clutch. Follow the shaft back thru the rear frame to find what I was speaking of.
