    Canon Faxphone L80

    Hi,
I have 2 customers whose machine does same thing, with one complaining about it.They boththrout day say"Recieved in memory, check paper size"If you hit Stop button machine will print fax from memory, sometimes 1 job sometimes 2,even 3 jobs and then at somepoint stopping where same message appears and you have to prompt again by hitting stop button.I thought at first it was feed issue, but machine feeds perfectly when you prompt it thru stop button. Any help would be welcomed..
    THANKS, ANDY

Are some of the pages split into two pages? It sounds like it does not know how to deal with longer paper maybe,, I am fax blond, but I know that you can set up the bigger guys to handle longer pages thru some vertical compression settings. Not sure how it is done on the faxphone though.

      Hi,
thanks for reply,it is not a size issue as faxes recieved are 8.5 X11 and no split sheets and all print fine when you press stop it clears the check paper size message. This may be common problem of something not set right on these models.

Are you sure that the correct record paper size is programmed in?

Go to Function, Data Registration, ^ or v to Printer Settings, Set, ^ or v to the appropriate paper size, Set. See pg 39 of the Basic Operators Guide.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Still might be a compression thing. Set up the device to vertically compress to say, 75% when needed. I have seen where even a 11 inch sheet has stuff too close to top and bottom that triggered this problem.

                  rx errors

I have seen similar problems, what you should try is turning off ECM on both RX and TX. This fixed my clients issues that were very close to what you describe.

                      HI again.
I shut ECM RX setting to off,but still have same issue, The faxes are in memory and can only be printed by hitting stop button for each new fax in memory. The Check paper size is also on(the machine is set for11 inch paper)when prompted for each new fax in memory it feeds fine so Im thinking some setting needs tyo be changed. Is some problem causing faxes to be put in memory(Toner is good and paper is in tray and feeds fine)And how come each new fax recieved needs to be printed by pressing stop button, shouldnt they feed consequentlyout even if there was a problem thatt vput it there in first place. Any help would be appreciated.
                      Thanks Andy
