you need to use the rui .. open the rui on your pc .. on the left hand side you will see additional functions and somewhere in there it will allow you to export mailbox to a saved folder .. onc you have it there you can import it back to the copier or to other copiers.. Always worth saving it in case you loose the hdd

You might need the Jbig Veiwer plugin.

Thank you all for the advice,

          @ ymmtech :
I am looking for online back up

          @ Irish :
I have tried using the RUI, but via RUI it can only move/copy files between folders in the mailbox, it cannot transfer to the computer.
Maybe am I doing it wrong?

          @ SCREWTAPE :
I also have tried The JBIG plugin, but it can only save the content page by page. Does the JBIG able to save all page at a time?

          Does anybody has other solution?
          Thanks

sorry my English is not good. If it is consfusing please ask.
What I mean is, after scanning books/documents, I save it in mailbox - user inbox (00, 01, ..). Now I need to copy the user inbox (for example user inbox 01) to computer. I need to copy it into FlashDirve, and restore it to other machine. Is it possible? What should I do?
                Thanks a lot.

Far as I know, Canons cannot copy the contents of a mailbox to a memory stick. The guy above that mentioned printing them out and then rescaning them is the only way I know.

I believe this is the only way to view it on a workstation. You can not batch scan. There are some models that use the JBIG Viewer to view pages scanned into the mailbox in the RUI. They store the scanned mailbox files in JBIG format. Other models only store thumbnails, not the full JBIG files when scanning documents to a mailbox. You will not be able to save a thumbnail with the JBIG Viewer.

Only newer model support and feature to import/export from USB sticks. Costd gave you the best option> Print them out, scan them back. The only other option you might have is.. To buy a scanner, that way you can scan and print.

This is not gonna work. Let alone the image file format. I believe its a tiff file?
