    RUI Problem

    Heloo..

I have problem on my ir7200, that is RUI is not working.
when I use web browser to access the machines, it gives following messages:

    RemoteUI Contents is Not Found!!

    RUI Module Version : 5046

I already use SST to Update Firmware with RUI from IR7200 system. But, still the message cames. (actually, above message is after I update RUI firmware, before is same message).

    My question are:
    1. Do I need to update system software also to make it works?
    2. In my service software there is Firmware for IR7200 and IR7200N. But, inside folder IR7200N only boot and system folder. is it normal? because the othe folder (IR7200), consist boot, HDFormat, Language, RUI and System
    3. And in case I need to update firmware, because now I can use printing on my IR7200, does it mean that I have to update using Boot and System from folder IR7200N?

    thx

The machine must have a N bootrom(meaning having a printer kit install first). You say that you can print now? So my guess is, now you need to update your firmware in order to to print. Yes you must use the 7200n firmware. You should probably should do a HD format then install 7200N/All.

To add to what Screwtape has mentioned, don't piecemeal the software installs. Always do a full system install to make sure all the pieces are 100% compatible with each other...

Like Screwtape and MrFixit just said, be sure to flash ALL firmware at the same time, to whatever versions came together on the CD, download, etc..

Certain versions of the Main Controller won't play nice with certain versions of the RUI, Boot ROM, etc...

I used to get this a lot when a few techs would only update certain parts; the machine would print, copy, and scan, but they never checked the RUI.

After a full treatment of bamboo shoots, broken glass, and piano wire, they saw the light!

          ok, thy for the light.
I'll try to update the complete firmware.

But, back to my no.2 question... is it normal to have only Boot and System on IR7200N System Software folder? or my System Software is just not complete?

Those are the only files that are different from the copier only version. The ALL & ALL-HDF batch files in the network part of the folder call out the things to be installed, using the boot and system files from the N side, and then all the rest of the stuff from the copier side. If you were doing the copier only version, it completely ignores the network side of the folder.
