Only happens on cardstock. I can see the cyan is very faint (almost non-existent) on the itb belt during grad adj and copying/printing. Replaced cyan drum. Swapped yellow and cyan primary transfer rollers (inside itb assm). Upgraded system software to 84.01 (Dc Con v60). Cleaned out machine interior. All with no fix. 1 or 2 copies will occationally come out OK, but not many. Anyone ever see this?

Standard 80lb cover and 67 lb vellum bristol. I have tried other stocks as well as "heavy 2" through the bypass and had the same problem. This is definately a problem of bad transfer, bad bias contact or something similar. I have another customer that has the same problem only with yellow and black (simultaneously) on 80lb hammermill color copy cover. Luckily the second customer has 2 machines and rarely runs card stock.
Any chance there is an adjustment for low/high humidity like on the old CLC's? I didn't see any in the book or service mode.Comment

**extra ****Canon reports >there are some issues with drum drive assembly going bad/shows the symptom u mentioned washed out single color only on heavy paper/CQ ok on plain paperLast edited by teckat; 02-19-2010, 01:54 AM.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment

Thanks for the replies. I did inspect and clean the primary plastic end holders as I was swapping them (I've seen that on c3200's). New transfer rollers are on order. I know the springs are in place but I may have missed a crack. I'll check again when I replace the transfer rollers.
As far as the drum drive assm goes, is the fix to replace the entire drum drive assm? - Is it the "developing drive assm" FM2-5362 or "drum drive assm" FM2-5360? BIG price differance.Comment

If you have wash out on all colors on ITB unit when u select heavy mode, I would look in at ITB Drive Motor M1
You said it is on only one color ????
