How old are the Developers? If they are too old, they're loosing toner and get the device dirty. replace them -

Sounds like an over toning issue/ replace bad or sticking Toner Supply Clutch (CL7) FH6-5005-020 >> clean one week/dirty next week !!!!!**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment

At 59k developer starter starts to get weak and loses its attraction to hold on to toner, that's why your toner starts to stray blasting all over blocking patch image sensor readings and causing the machine to not accurately measure the density of the patch image off the drum. Developers last about 40k. Change the machine as well, LOL.
Good luck.Comment
