    IR2016 - Black Page

    Hi everybody,
    I have a problem on this machine: when I make copy or print the result is a black page. The machine has 28000 page printed.
    The Drum is clear when it isn't printing.
    Can anyone help me? Canon is not a kind of copier that I know.

      You could have a bad HVT.

          Do you think I can clean the contacts of the HVT and solve the problem, have you ever had this problem?

              Yes.. I had issues with HVT's causing black pages, solid black pages there were no voided areas on page. You can try anything you want to try to solve your problem.

                  Yes, no voided area, same problem. I had a color bizhub with a similar problem. Every print had a magenta background and I solved the problem cleaned the contact of the HVT. How did you solve your problem?

                                  I have a canon ir 2020i and once in a while I printed or coping a black background. I have replaced the drum, developer unit, the latter firmware, the basis remains ... Does anyone have experience with such a problem? Machine has 83000 prints. Thanks and best regards

                                      This is sample print when prints go wrong! Somethime prints are good and next print is like these pictures....

                                              This one looks like it is laser related. Definitions between white and black are to fine to be HVT

                                                  1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                                                  2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                                                  3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                                                  4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
