Hey guys,
I have a problem on an imagerunner 600 that's been bugging me. When a print run is started on this machine (duplexed) page 1 of 2 (page one is face down on the stacker) will print every 3 or so out of 5 copies with a faint printing about 2-3 inches from the left side and on in. It's fairly consistent. A longer document will do the same thing.
I have tried with no success the following:
1. Replaced the corona wires above and below the drum;
2. Ran several clean corona wire attempts in service mode;
3. Tried many brands and weights of papers with no success;
Now here's the mysterious kicker. After about 50 to 100 sheets are run through the machine with this faint printing problem...the problem goes away. It will print tens of thousands of sheets with out any further problem. It's almost like something has to warm up for the problem to go away.
The only thing I can think of right now is maybe adjust the develop voltage, but why does the machine correct the problem eventually?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
