There is no support for a 160 gig Samsung drive in the formatter,, I just checked. You will have to try to edit the .ift file to accommodate your drive...

depending on how you formatted the HDD it could be set up incorrectly with the partitions. The HDD format through the service support tool sets this up. If you used a PC to format the HDD and still have not modified the .ift file then the SST will not recognize the HDD as a supported device giving you an error.

Formatting, (which in the case of using SST), is really nothing more than writing the partition table, it is not a physical format. It HAS TO BE DONE using SST, no other method will work.

I think you can't use HDD too big, just use 6GB to 40GB.
And you have to use SST to format the HDD

Start all over with correct HDD
                WM2-5199-000= 5.1 GB HDD part #

                ir2200/2800/3300- v45.01

                HD-Formatt v00.13 or v00.15

                HD-Formatt v00.16-needs at least SST v4.11er

                Put HDD 5.1gb in copier/1. Formatt / 2.then do an ALL_HDF
