    3235 2870 series skyshot

Any way to take a skyshot copy(copy business card with lid open for example) without a black backround?

I have seen other model machines have a setting for this but have found nothing in my canon manuals.

thanks in advance for the help everyone

    Why??
    You don't have a ADF?
Cover the card with a LTR sheet of paper.

    OR,,

Is it that you want to revert the background of the card.
    This can be done under,
Positive and negative option under special features.

ya peter, the customer is in fact going from a panasonic to a canon box and it isnt business cards teckat(sorry, and i agree that didnt really make much sense), that was just an example. I have been asked 1 other time and it was a doctors office doing insurance cards. I set a memory button up for 2 on 1 so they can copy both sides of ins. card and have on 1 side of a sheet of paper. kind of a pain opening and closing when youre used to something easier, thats all.

This particular customer is making copies of a very small handbook and were used to the panasonic.

Thanks for the tips though guys, you all know how picky our wonderful customers are LOL!

on a side note; the best customer experience i had was a side paper deck jamming with 3 reams of unopened paper in it! hahahahhaa I love this job!

love Canon > hate Panasonic machines

once had a service call in a prison, they ran out of paper and were using cut up brown paper bags in the bypass tray, funny thing- it was working
, service call had to do with door hinge & bypass was not jamming :>0

That's right Panasonic has that feature. It works good on newspapers.
I was trained on there first color model which was a okay copier but not a Canon.

heck ya teckat i couldnt agree more. i celebrate every time we upgrade a customer from pana to canon. we have been done with pana since early last year and they continue to raise prices on known failed parts numerous times.. one way web gear..inverter boards.. upper pickers...damn near all upper and lower fuser rollers..should be illegal..i could go on and on and screwtape im sure u could too i see u have worked on lotta panajunk.. every thing but the color is JUNK!

screwtape i could have run into u i went to secaucus for the c series. they are great machines too bad pana sold their technology to canon LOL our sales guy would hand paper to customer and tell them crumple it up and tear it as much as u want then run it right thru the bypass with no problem! the trainer guys, Dave if i remember right, put pita bread thru it and it fed!!! too funny. good times.

                    see yas

You know that's funny. Its a possibility, maybe we where in the same class. I remember Dave the trainer and its true he fed some weird things thru that machine. They have a awesome site, HUGE. The caferetria was great, lots of good food. I wish Canon was like that.

Before they use to have bagels, pastrys in the morning. Your lucky if theres cream or milk for your coffee. They even took out the candy machines.
