    iR3045 Finisher Problem

Good day to all you guys,

Have these finisher on these machine where the finisher tray refuse to go down when you do multiple copies say 100 pcs at one go. So when the tray getting more paper coming in it will hit each orther causing the paper will drop to the floor.

I believe is a setting only that set the finisher tray to go down automatically when ever its receving a huge job of copies. I hope you guys have the experience on these problem and let me know please. Thank you

it is possible that you had a finisher failure and unknowingly put it into limited functions mode. Try turning it off and dont forget to REBOOT the machine after you do or it will not turn off.

To do this, go into Additional Functions>Common Settings>Limited Functions Mode and select "OFF".

    Hope this help!

Another way you can see if the finisher is in limited functions, your finishing options would be grayed out, like stapling.

The down direction is detected by PI 10, Tray lower limit sensor.
The up direction is detected by the PI 3
PI 3 is attached to the shaft of the stack tray paper holder arms. It is shown in the image below.

            PI..jpg
The sensor arm stops the tray in up direction When the black curved fingers are pulled down by hand the sensor arm should also stick out.

            from old pub:
when collating the stack trays of the Finisher-S1 would not lower.
Stack trays would raise to upper limit, but not lower to any position. No error codes or jams were associated with this issue. Replacing the Lower Limit Sensor (PI10), part number WG8-5696-000
            , fixed this issue.

u can try a S1 finisher controller reset
try the following to reset and clear the memory of the Finisher Controller PCB .
With the copier "ON' turn ON all 4 dip switches, cheat the finisher door switch, press and hold SW2 until the LED stops flashing. Then turn off copier, turn off dip switches and turn copier back on. Check to see if the finisher initializes and if the problem is resolved.
