iR4570 DCON Firmware

Hi guys, anyone got iR4570 DCON Firmware, i really needed for my job, i only had iR2270 & 3570 DCON Firmware, and if i download it to iR4570, its only appears COPY & MAILBOX, if i download it to iR3570 its appear COPY, SEND, MAILBOX, & SCAN.

Dcon is for the Dc controller and this PCB controls, laser, motors, clutches, ETC.
Perhaps your not quite familiar with Canon firmware.

recently i had try change the copier type (iR4570 to 3570) and the copier become normal (appear copy,send,mailbox & scan)
And when i turn it back the copier to iR4570 it's only appear copy ??

mageRUNNER 2270/4570/3570/2870= all have the same Firmware / System Software v40.03
DCon is v30.02 for 3570/4570/2270/2879= DUH'

if u are using a G3 FAX v79.01 = make sure u update the settings for it

1. Canon USA, Inc. recommends using the latest version, currently v4.04Eq.
2. When the version of the System Software for the imageRUNNER 2230/ 2830/ 3530 ROM and HDD models is
upgraded, it is upgraded by means of overwriting. All set values for user mode and service mode are retained. As
a result, no items are initialized.
3. For the imageRUNNER 2270/ 2870/ 3570/ 4570, due to interface modifications related to changes made with the
new features added to the System Software, the following items will not be carried over when upgrading:
a. Copy: Mode Memory (Special Features), Recall (Special Features), Standard Settings (Additional
Functions>Copy Settings)
b. Inbox: Mode Memory (Special Features), Standard Settings (Additional Functions>Mail Box Settings)
c. Universal Send: Recall (Favorite Buttons can be carried over by exporting them prior to upgrading and
importing after the upgrade – RUI>Add. Func.>Import/Export>Forwarding Settings)
d. Log: Status and Log (System Monitor)
e. Additional Functions>System Settings>Device Information Delivery Settings>Register Destinations:
Destination address list will need to be recreated
f. Additional Functions>System Settings>Device Information Delivery Settings>Deliver/Receive Log: This
will be erased and also renamed to “Communication Log”
4. The version of the PreInstallApps included on this System Software CD contains versions that are newer than
those previously provided for the imageRUNNER 2270/2870/3570/4570. If a copier is upgraded to v34.01
System Software, the versions of PreInstallApps (MEAP Administration Software) on this System Software CD
should be used.
5. If an imageRUNNER 2270/ 2870/ 3570/ 4570 being upgraded has a BootROM version of v3.30 or less, the
BootROM should be upgraded first. The copier should then be rebooted and the remainder of the items upgraded.
The ALL file automatically does the BootROM first, followed by a message to reboot.
6. For the imageRUNNER 2270/ 2870/ 3570/ 4570, the definitions of the ON and OFF values for “Receive Limit for
Each Function” under Additional Functions>System Settings>Device Information Delivery Settings have been
switched. The default value has also been switched so the default behavior remains the same. The current
definitions are:
a. ON – Cannot receive (Default)
b. OFF – Can receive

U can not use iR3320i Firmware on a iR2270

U better put in a service call, if u tried doing that

u also need a OEM HDD + Knowledge of SST



This is what u try first
In service mode Copier / Function / System & select HD-CHECK followed by pressing OK key. This check will count backward from 99% & run for approx. 10 minutes . The results of HD-CHECK will be displayed in LCD

1. OK

2. NG { hardware } may need new HD, try HD format 1st.

3. NG { software } restored / alternative sector } is displayed. Will need to install new system software.


When HD-CHECK is complete run HD-CLEAR in service mode Copier / Function / System then select HD-Clear followed by the OK key. HD-CLEAR will initialize the partition specified by CHK-TYPE. Once complete you will need to re-boot machine. After clearing the HD the boot process will take longer then return to normal.
