try to open and close if the problem still occured.
      SOLUTION
check the switch of the door if its working you can remove the front door and the cover upper pannel, then using tester(V.O.M) set the v.o.m in ohms X10 test the continuity of the line from the door switch and the side door switch to the power supply.

      note:
one line from door switch to the side door switch is connected both and the other line goes to the power supply.
if the line has no connection the error (open front/side door) will appear.

hope it will be help you!

if it ohmed out and tested ok/ between power supply J112 & door switches / check your 24vDC from PS/ of not replace PS
/If 24VDC is found at J12 on the power supply, check the DOPEN signal at J215, pin 7 on the DC Controller to be sure it changes state. Open and close the door, to check the signal. If the signal changes state, replace the DC Controller

didn't mean to hijack the thread but. would the same key sequence work on image runner c1022i>? i tried additional function, 2,8, additional function and it didn't work. ( actually the button for additional function becomes the word "done" after you you start entering the number. Which screen do you actually do these key inputs?

                    for 1022 = Enter the Service mode. (Main Menu > 2 > 8 > Main Menu)

If changing a setting in service mode, turn OFF/ON the main power
                    switch.
