    Canon 1150 with error E803 000

    Hey, I got a Canon 1150 with error E803 000
    the 24v is faulty
    the dc power cut relay is faulty
    the dc pcb is faulty the dc driver pcb faulty

    during copy operation the cpu does not detect 24v out put for 5 seconds when the transfer unit lever switch,front cover switch,and delivery cover switch is closed

    Where is this unit and How do you fix it?

    important> what were u doing before error code/ u can have a pinched wire to ground/ also check that inside transfer draw female connector for a paper wedge in there

    Check transfer Unit lever switch or transfer drawer connector for a piece of paper jammed in the connector or if the connector is loose. Machine will generate this code if no 24 volt signal is present at the CPU.

    check your fuse pcb/ FU925 on the DC fuse PCB

    When an over current or a short to ground occurs in the machine such as a motor binding or a wire shorted to the frame of the machine a fuse on the DC-fuse PCB should open to prevent damage to the machine. The DC-fuse PCB is located on the left hand side of the machine below the paper exit as illustrated below.

    The DC-fuse PCB has 3 glass 5amp fuses and 18 pico fuse's from 3 to 7 amps. The glass fuse's can be checked by pulling them from their holders and checking the resistance across them, they should read 0 ohms when tested with a meter. The pico fuse's are soldered into the board and would be difficult to check by resistance while still on the board, it is best to check the pico fuses by checking the output voltages from the connectors on the fuse PCB. On page 103 of the technical reference guide is a table of the fuse, the voltage across the fuse and the destination of the voltage in the machine.
    As the board sits in the machine it is difficult to see the actual J connector numbers. Following are the pin configuration of J907-909-908-929-931-933-934-935-938-939 from left to right, for J906-910-932 it is from top to bottom, for J936-930 it is from bottom to top for J905 it is starting at the upper right (pin1) upper left (pin 3) lower right (pin 2) lower left (pin 4) For J929 it is starting at lower right (pin 1) middle lower (pin 2) lower left (pin 3) upper right (pin 4) upper middle (pin 5) upper left (pin 6) J937 starting at the lower right (pin 1) lower left (pin 2) upper right (pin 3) upper left (pin 4).

    The input voltages from the DC power supply can be checked at the following connectors.
    5 volts DC at J905 pins 1&2
    24 volts DC at J929 pin 1, J930 pin1
    38 volts DC at J937 pin 3

      Ok I swapped out the board and Error went away,
      but now once machine is warmed up I get e071 f000
      any ideas thanks

        re check the connectors you removed and put back on/

        U mean E071-F000= T DRUM rotation error/ check that green locking arm is locked in position/ make sure your drum is turning/

        The side A sensor, side B
        sensor, or C sensor does not
        detect the signal plate within
        10 sec after the operation to
        lock the transfer drum has
        started

        • The side A sensor (PS2) is faulty.
        • The side B sensor (PS3) is faulty.
        • The C sensor (PS4) is faulty.
        • The signal plate is faulty.
        • The drum motor drive system is
        subjected to an overload.
        • The transfer drum is not locked
        properly.
        • The DC driver PC is faulty.
        • The CPU PCB is faulty.

          I swapped that out and it worked, till it started to print.

          So I cleared the memory.

            E020-01E0= change magenta developer/ will over tone soon/check age of DRUM

              The harness for the transfer drum assembly is known to cause problems on 1150...wires break from engagement/disengagement of drum assembly

                E803 I have always had an issue with the tranfer frame connectors. It results in an improper contact with the frame and the back of the machine. Check the backside connector for paper or see if its broken. I have seen it go away but cause many other E codes. It sends a faulty signals.
