The IR3300 doesn't support Fixed IP mode. Take a look at your SST Manual.

A IEEE1284 parallel cable or a special canon usb-to-parallel cable (only usb-to-parallel that works) is needed.

        Download firmware-parallel port.

you can use a PCMCIA Cardbus to Parallel Port Adapter AND an IEEE1284 Parallel cable. to flash iR3300

              IEEE1284 Gold Parallel Printer A/B Cable DB25M/Cen36M - 6ft

              imageRUNNER-iR 2200 / 2220N / 3320N / 2800 / 3300 / / 2220i / 3320i / 3300i / 5000 / 6000 / 5000i / 5020 / 5020i / 6020 / 6020i / 7200 / 85 / 8500 / 105

When USB-Adp is not an available option when flashing a device that requires a usb to parallel cable

When updating System Software on an imageRUNNER-iR device that requires an IEEE 1284 parallel printer cable, using a USB to Parallel Nethawk cable does not show as an available option in Service Support Tool even after the drivers of the Nethawk cable is properly installed.

There are certain laptops used in the field by technicians that may exhibit the problem. A workaround is to use a PCMCIA Cardbus to Parallel Port Adapter AND an IEEE1284 Parallel cable.

This is not a Canon USA Inc recommended solution. This workaround is provided as cost effective alternative to replacing a laptop and or reloading laptop operating system in the hope that it might correct the issue with Service Support Tool not making USB-Adp an available interface.

I think you have to use parallel when you use SST for this model.
But if you want to use crossover cable, your computer and copy machine have to set the same IP
                Ex: copy machine: 192.168.1.100
                Your computer: 192.168.1.101
Or you can use this IP: 172.16.1.100
In my experience you'd better use parallel cable.
                Good luck.
