what was the sub-code/ sounds like it could be a 602-0003/ interruption of data writing / check in service mode**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.** -

main power off>hold down 1 n' 7 key >while holding>turn on main power> it should bring u in a fixed IP mode/ if so> power off & on - report back
if that will not work/
try this- turn off printer/unplug HDD-power back up/u should receive a 602 error/ turn off>plug in HDD>turn on - report back
u may have to replace that HDD/ & re load firmware

INfamous for HDD"S going out
You'll have to get one from Hytec or Canon because they are Coded. You can't use a generic HDD>Comment

The SST format file is unencrypted and can simply be edited in Notepad to add support for any HDD model you like.Comment

To clear up some confusion here, many hard drives can be accessed after altering the format.ift ,, but not just ANY drive. I was doing this for years, and I occasionally ran into drives that just would not work. The easiest way is to go with the 2 mentioned sources, or simply google or ebay for the model number that is currently installed in the copier. I am willing to bet it is a Toshiba MK2023GAS."Once a King, always a King, but once a Knight is enough!"
