ir 2200i only mail box appear on the screen

before anything else i would like to thanks sir D_L_P for helping me giving me time and effort, instructions and informations so i can be able to fix this machine. thank you sir.

anyway as i said i already restore the system from the previous error that i post E602-003 the problem sir when i on the machine the mailbox only appeared no any functions and i notice that the start button still color orange, what do you think guys is there anything that i miss? please help . me guys if you know or you already incountered this kind of problem once again it would be a great help for me fixing this problem... wait for your reply guys. thank you in advance and godbless...

Start Button RED = are u stuck in Sleep or Stand By Mode on panel ???

No Copy or Scan Tab Displayed on the LCD / only Mailbox shows
Check your READER / Check the Reader I/F Cable connection

Also Make sure u are not in Default Mode for LCD Control Panel
How to Change the Initial Function:

1. Press the Additional Functions button.

2. Hit Custom Common Settings or Common Settings.

3. Select the Initial Function option.

4. You will now see the options for the Initial Function. Select which button you would like as your default screen. Depending on the imageRUNNER model and the options installed, you will be able to set the default screen to Send, Mailbox, Fax, etc.

You can have a bad reader controller PCB.

Not sure if you can disable the reader unit in service mode with this unit.

Go into service mode>Option>Body>W/SCNR.

Check if its there, set the value to 1.

As I said not sure if this unit has this feature.
Most newer Canon models do.

Since this had the 2200n firmware loaded another possibility is "overwrite all" was not checked when you loaded the system software. In SST after you select the 2200i, in the lower left box make sure to check overwrite all and then reload system software.

thank you to all who give me support and informations, specially to sir D_L_P, sir teckat, and sir screwtape the machine are working now

here what i've done.

after the code E602-003 which sir D_L_P gave me time, effort, instructions, and full advice until i resolved the hdd problems thank you sir D_L_P. after downloading i on the machine but theres a little bit problem mailbox only appear no any options that you can use. i post a message then sir teckat said the cable reader i/f connections.like what the picture look like

i mis to connect it since this was my first time to repairing ir2200i i didnt know that it has a cable i/f then i on the machine still mailbox only appear still red start button try to check additional functions -common settings- initial functions no other choices mailbox only,
then try to do what sir screwtape said, but im not lucky still thesame problem try to read again post message from sir D_L_P re installing again the system software rewriting then off/on machine im not lucky again, try to remove the back panel, i think theres something i miss then i find out that in the top right if you are facing in the back of the machine there a connections from the body to the reader it seems it was giving power to the reader so i try to find the missing cable lucky that i found it then connected it, then off/on the machine im suprise the machine work for a couple of days that was thinking about the problem, you know guys i cannot be able to fix this machine without your help and support. thank you very very very much!!! and also to this forum thank you sir!
