    Canon ir8070 - 240v help

Will this machine work on a 240v circuit? I know the manual says 188v to 228v 12A or more. The only plug in the building is 240-245v. I don't want to fry the boards or anything.

    Thanks

Even if it would work on that circuit which I doubt - Your best bet would be to have the customer call an electrician & pay to have him setup an outlet with the voltage you need. As a rule of thumb - Never play around with power requirements . Play it safe my friend.

Forget about performance and poofed boards - I would think if the copier were to ever start a fire, God forbid, that your dealership could be held liable if the customer could prove that you knew of the high voltage, and allowed it anyway.

It would be better to lose the business than to assume the risk.
