It Probably already has an English ver. installed =
unless u removed or unchecked English when firmware from SST was installed, u should be able to switch over, see below>

To be able to select different languages on the control display panel of the imageRUNNER, first you have to flash the machine with the different languages that you need. You can do that by installing system software for each language. Then proceed to the the steps below to change the desired language.
    To Select the Desired Language:
    1. Go to Service Mode, *, 2 and 8, *.
    2. Select Copier.
    3. Select Option.
    4. Select Body.
    5. Press the right arrow and scroll to the 3rd screen.
    6. Select RMT-LANG. For English, it should read en.
    7. To change the language, hit the +/- sign until you find the desired language.
    8. Select OK.
    9. Then power cycle the machine.

you don't need new firmware/ Usually the Language in Firmware when installed from SST to printer always includes -J/Japan-E/English-F/France-I/Italian-G/German. unless someone only installed FRENCH through SST.

New version is now up to v59.01/ Canon firmware Language & RUI always supports and installs at least 6 or 7 Languages, unless u choose to un-check them on SST download. If u have a laptop with SST & the 5020i firmware on it , u can check to see if ENGLISH is loaded in there. Other wise u will need to re load firmware, and select English-for RUI & LANGUAGE

do you see an that option in service mode instructions above to select RMT-LANG = EN

Now I see the problem !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Language and RUI Must Match up/ so your FRENCH matches up ok/ it's your English Language 52.01 & RUI 56.01 that don't match
