    REPOST FOR Brian8506

    Brian..

    IR3570 Background print
I have a customer who recently connected their 3570 to their network. They are a retail lumber store. The 3570 replaced an Oki laser printer. When they reprint an order, the word "reprint" is printed across the page. On the Oki, it would print very finely so that you could still see the items on the original order. The Canon prints "reprint" in full bold like the rest of the text thereby covering items on the original order. Does anyone know if there is a setting in the copier for this. They consulted their software company and they're blaming the copier. TIA

Have you tried the watermark feature under the printing preferences.

Screwtape is correct, if you go to the printer properties and call up the printing preferencies you can set up and edit watermarks including the colour (which always comes out dark) so I recomend setting it to the lightest gray possible.

It's on the first 'tab' about half way down on the right.

I think you can also change it on the copier itself but am not quite sure where to find everything...

It printed on the Oki and the Canon???? Duh....don't think its the box. Obviously its their application that is causing it. Send a Windows test page to it....if its okay tell them to take a hike....obviously the software is causing it. i its a watermark make it transparent

I'll try the printing preferences. On the Oki it comes out light, but dark on the Canon

See if that OKI driver works on the Canon machine and try printing using that same preference.
