Can i change a canon ir5000 110v to 220v model
thanks for help
NO U CAN NOT, with out changing many components / U can try a Heavy duty Voltage Power outlet converter / don't know if it will work on this large printer

You'd need one heck of a step down transformer that can generate the current needed to run the machine. You should look to a larger product if you dont want it get messy like a ir7200 or higher. That is unless your choices are limited.
If you are trying the 110 - 220 trick, I suspect you need to look and see if the 60Hz vs 50Hz issue comes into play. As others have said, can it be done - yes, but the number of items that need replacement negates consideration.
I was involved in a situation where we needed to make a 60Hz run where the local power was 50Hz. We "engineered" a monster where we took in the local power to a BIG battery charger, then took the battery unit (I think it was 7 large floor units) output into a modified (read giant) inverter and resulted in 110v 60Hz BUT IT WAS NOT CHEAP (Uncle Sam) and we still had intermittent issues.
