    canon clc-5100

    replaced upper fuser roller and cleanning web, copier is now showing E000-0120 code thermistor error. iI rechecked all connectors and even tested upper heat lamp, reinstalled same code again. When i was in service mode i did not see a clear function like the ir series have. Any ideas? Thanks for help.

    Did you check the thermistor for that fixing roller?

    It worked before.

      copier>function>clear>err-clear....recycle the power.

      Cheat your front door switch and pull the cover off your fuser to see if the lamps come on. Could be an issue with the triacs or a connector issue. It might have just been a fluke.
      Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

        U need to first clear that ERR code/ Copier>Function>Clr>err-clr
        power off/on

        also Check operation of the Fuser knob switch located in the rear frame of the copier. It is a dual switch with one half signaling the Fuser handle is in the engagement location and the other half supplying dc power to Fuser. Part number WC2-5327-000.
        **Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**

          Hi

          The worst faults are the faults technicians put on for themselves. I had the same problem. While I was replacing the fixing roller I bent the thermistor away from the roller. Make sure the thermistoer is in contact with the upper fixing roller.
