Ir 400 recieves fax won't send

Just recieved a phone call from customer - IR 400 wont fax out and has on display scan error 1584. Sounds like it still copies & prints fine but won't know for sure til I go out & see it for myself tomorrow. Any ideas? Thanks in advance-Blaze

does the iR400 have TX setting option to turn OFF "Check Dial Tone Before Sending" ???

Thanks - I'll check that. Customer said it worked Friday and when they came in Monday it wouldn't work.

Ok- DADF-A1 feeder would not work to scan documents-hence the scan error 1585 when trying to fax. Nor will the ADF scan for copies. Turns out a 2 liter bottle of coke exploded when the customer opened it dousing the copier and the coke that ran inside the af dried and gummed up things so the feeder wouldn't work. Of course the customer having a service contract tried to clean up the copier and the walls so the repair would be covered but the carpet clued me in and of course the dried liquid in the interior of the feeder. Can't believe the customer tried to hide the cause though. Gonna sell them a new copier------------thanks Teckat for replying-shooting you some rep power as a thank you.

Thanks, once had a customers girlfriend pour water in all four color toner hoppers on CLC5100, after they had a fight and he left office, funny thing She was his manager. Cost to repair & replace parts was Large , she was fired.
