    iR3100CN & Windows 7

I'm trying to install the above to Windows 7 and through Canon's website I can only find drivers for iR3100C which of course is not the same machine.

I have seen the following post (http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/ca...scan-help.html) which suggests a user is using this machine with Windows 7.

I did manage to locate the driver off the internet for iR3100CN, but when trying to install it doesn't like me doing it to a Windows 7 machince.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Try using a UFRII driver.
Not to sure if it supports W7
Also check you bit version for W7, 32, or 64 bit.

      Hi

The link that you have given, if I select iR3100, windows 7 (doesn't give an option of 32 or 64 for windows 7), i get only 1 file which are PPDs file. How do I find UFRII?

      In summary I have a windows 7, 64 bit.

      Thanks again.

If you scroll down you will see windows drivers for 64bit.
Also try using a PCL driver.
Try using a windows vista 64bit driver.

Hi I have downloaded the top file. What this does is downloads a folder called: UFRII v2.70/us_eng/x64/Driver. Within this you have various DA, IC , XP etc. files.

What it doesn't do though is creates a driver within Devices and Printers.

Am I supposed to just copy and past the directory into Windows/ or something? But will this recognise the driver?

Drivers don't install themselves, choose "Add a printer" from within Windows, and when it is looking for the drivers, point it to the folder that you just created from the downloaded file.

The other method is to download the installer version of the driver, which has a front end that guides you through the process...

You can select either method- without installer/ or with installer it depends

WITH INSTALLER/=Manually configure printer port/=Standard Install
auto find network printer port/=Dynamic Install
configure a USB printer port/= USB Standard Install

                  WITHOUT INSTALLER
/=Install the print driver for a local or network printer/ =use ADD PRINTER WIZARD
Install the printer driver thru a USB connection=USB connection Installation

Sorry i thought this was a thread about the Canon IR3100CN, jam code 0B01 "door open jam" detection by software. I posted this because I have a problem locating the UFR11 driver for windows 7.

The two occurrences are not related,, copier jamming has nothing to do with a PC driver. Look to normal copier maintenance items to resolve your jamming problem, and Teckat has kindly provided the link to the drivers section of the Canon website...
