Is there a Fiery Rip present? if this is the case, you can calibrate the Unit via "Command Workstation"

        .

You would need a densitometer to accomplish this as well. Without the scanner you do not have much control over the color quality.

No Fiery Rip present. printer only
Is it workable for adjustment If I install a scanner taken from another IRC3220 copy machine. What we need to prepare and how to set up via the system command.

Do you mean swapped laser from another machine?

If you have replaced or swapped the laser unit, execute the following service mode:
              COPIER>FUNCTION>LASER>L-ADJ-0

              1) Remove all 4 color drum units, and close the front cover.

              2) Select this item, and press the OK key to execute the operation. The operation stops automatically.

              3) When automatic adjustment has finished, 'END' is displayed in the screen. Note The DC controller uses the photo diode in the laser unit to automatically measure the light quantity hence each laser emits its minimum light quantity. This operation is used to compensate the time the laser lights during minimum light quantity emission. Each laser unit Y/M/C/K) is adjusted in sequence.

Well in that case I would installed the image reader and the hardware, cable for communication.

Afterwards go into service mode and change.

                  Copier>Option>Body> W/SCNR. Change it to 1.

                  See what happens.

Not to sure that this can be done, only because Canon had two different item codes for each model. You can purchase a Image Reader C1 for the IRc3220/2620, item code 7761A002AA.

Give it shot I think it might work.

                  Let us know.

If its an auto grad you want there is a tool that can be used. Its called CC-100 Gradation Adjust Tool. It may be available from the Canon website. This supposedly allows you to do an auto grad without the scanner. Not too sure how it works. Good luck.

Yes, you are right. Because the Main Unit without reader and feeder so I only want to use another IRC3220 reader to perform auto color adjustment, I will refer to your instructions.

waste of time and effort to keep switching and installing a READER unit every time u need to calibrate .

Quick Adjustment: This is a quick and simple adjustment that is made to the gradation, density, and color settings of the machine. Re-calibrations are made internally without outputting any test prints.

In order to perform the Quick Adjustment :
                          1. Press the Additional Functions button.
                          2.Select Adjustment/Cleaning.
                          3.Choose Auto Gradation Adjustment.
4.Select the paper type for the gradation adjustment.
                          5. Press Quick Adjust.
                          6.Hit Start.
                          7.Press Done.

Note: The machine automatically adjusts the amount of toner and the speed of printing depending on the paper type selected.

                          simple is always easier'

Canon Color Calibration Utility CC-100 Version 2.60US Supplemental Information

This product is a utility which enables stable outputs from color printers.
It is useful when the colors of the printout must be accurate or matched
between different units of the same model. By regularly calibrating the colors
of a printer, output results will not be affected by temperature and humidity,
or the particular characteristics of a printer.
