    ir 2016 not scanning

    Hi guys
    its problem about canon ir 2016 , after regular check &cleaning , the machine stopped copying .
    when Iswitched on it made all test and ready to use , but when ipressed ready botton to make copy , it gives amessege ( scanning) but the scanner never moves , no any keys respond .it stay in this condition till iturn power off and on
    plz help

    Check connections at the area where things where checked and cleaned.

      Like screwtape said sounds like you have a Tech Induced Problem here. Retrace your steps and double check everything.
      Did you clean the optics and move the scanner by hand at anytime during or after the service?
      Also have you tried the DADF at all?
      You are going to have to do some troubleshooting on this one....
      Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

          I think I've done this before. It turned out I broke the tab off the drum unit that pushes the laser shutter. I can't remember why but I didn't get an E100. Maybe it was just partially broke or it didn't throw the E100 until I tried a print job but at any rate, check the drum unit too.

            ichecked all parts & cable , iswaped all board except the board of counter
            the problem still there

              Try searching hard at what was done before.
              If it'd work before then something that was done to it caused the problem.
              To ask for help for this.... Your gonna have to figure this one out for yourself my friend.

              Good luck and try harder.

                what happens when u move CIS-Carriage out of HP - then turn on ??
                have u tried the SCAN TEST in service mode ??


                if u can print to it & not make copies- check for a stuck button on control panel

                  finally its working , ijust disconect data cable from reader board to main board and its fixed
