    IR330 keeps blowing exposure lamp

Got an IR330 that keeps blowing its exposure lamp, replaced DC controller, power supply and of course numerous lamps......... what are we missing here? Any help would be appreciated.

imageRUNNER 330 / 400 Premature Scanning Lamp Failure

Check the pins for connector J90 where it plugs into the rear frame of the machine for a bent pin (see photo; note the screwdriver which indicates J90). If one pin is bent, the scanning lamp will still light however it will fatigue quickly and fail. Observe the lamps that have been replaced to see if they are darkening on only one side of the lamp. Replacing the harness FF3-2993-000 or reforming the bent pin will repair the problem.

-Ones you change the composite power supply you need to reenter the service label value into the service mode adjustment.
-You must execute shading auto correction after you replace the scanning lamp>Function>MAN-ADJ.(follow the service manual procedure)

FM12 & FM13 are the optics cooling fans...

??-if a fan is not working, there should be an error code present/ especially cooling fans

That is true enough, but that only checks for the fan being there running, not if there is a clogged vent in the cover that it servicing those fans...

I too like the bent pin as the culprit, but offered this as a possibility for overheating the lamp??

see what u mean/ had CLC 4000/5100 fan issues when some techs pushed those mesh filters into fan blades when putting back covers

This just occurred to me,,, how about replacing the scan lamp cable itself? It flex's back and forth for every scan, possible broken wire in that would give same results as bent pin issue...

                              This is from year 2000

                              imageRUNNER 330/400

Short life of the scan lamp or the error code E803 indication occurs.
Due to improper adjustments made at the factory, on some machines, the preheating
voltage was lowered, which resulted in the short life of the scan lamp. The correct factory
procedure calls for adjusting the preheating voltage after the FLOFST value was input, but
the preheating voltage was adjusted before the FLOFST value was input on some
                              machines.

Please make sure your Power Supply Values are entered into Service Mode correctly if the
Composite Power Supply has been replaced.

We would like you to change the FLDUTY/FLPDUTY from the LAMP values. The
machines that may possibly cause this are set 127 or less as the FLOFST.
Therefore, in case the affected machines are already set 127 or less as the FLOFST, enter
60 as the FLDUTY and 55 as the FLPDUTY.

                              Machines Affected:
                              NQH: 00001 to 00948
                              NQG: 00001 to 14847
                              NQK: 00001 to 00066
                              NQJ: 00001 to 24804
