    All welcome

To set Auto Delete from mailbox on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE Series
    1) Select Settings/Registration on the copier's display.

    2) Select [Login].

    3) Enter the System Manager's ID as well as the System Pin.

    4) Select [login].

    5) Select [Function Settings].

    6) Select [Store/Access Files].

    7) Select [Mail Box Settings].

    8) Select [Settings for All Mailbox].

    9) Select [Time Until File Auto Delete].

You have the option to choose from hours to days.

    Set from 0=Off 1, 2, 3, 6, 12hrs to 1, 2, 3, 7, 30days.

    10) Select OK.

NOTE: The time interval you choose will be pushed out to each mailbox. If you return to this menu item it will revert back to the default of 3 days. However, this is only the display setting here, the individual mailboxes will reflect the correct time interval that you have established.

you think someone is deleting names by mistake ??
you can assign a pin# to prevent deletion>

Highlight a mailbox number, then click in the Registered Box Name field, the keyboard will appear.
Type in the name for the mailbox, press OK.
If you want a password, enter a PIN and press OK
    .

      If names are disappearing.

I don't know, but as teckat mention. Somebody might be playing around.

I would also reload firmware. At least you can eliminate the possibility that firmware can be the issue.

        Hi All

The deleting of print jobs should be instantanous after a user has printed a spicific print job as per Ir 3025 etc. I understand the way teckat explaines, but that is for print jobs that remains in the mailbox for x period of time.

The mailbox names is a weird one. The mailboxes are programed and setup correctly, but they just dissapear for no reason and return after reboot. Firmware is up to date.

        Thanx for input

        Regards

Just FYI...Make sure that you are using latest version of Service Support Tool to install the latest firmware. Earlier versions of SST had problems of not updating the DCon

Yea, you can export the address book, then import the address book to the other machine.

I don't mean export/import trough the rui. But automatic syncing the adressbooks by using the automatic discovery on the network.

LDAP protocol could be a good way. LDAP protocol is used to browse on a server running LDAP. It can retrieve contents of the address book resident on that server.

You also have imageWARE Enterprise Management Console. This plug-in enables you to deliver address books to devices connected to the network. You can also retrieve address books from devices connected to the network.

For the Advance models. There is Remote Address Book. The Remote Address Book is only available on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE models. I haven't played around with it yet.

                    Update

Remedy is involved. Good to know i am not the only one with mailbox problems. The deleting problem was solved with RTFM.

                    Thanx all

                        Hi Gerhard,

What was the resolution for your "Mailboxes names are disapearing" problem. I now have a call in my queue with the same description. When they try to access mailboxes, the names are gone, when they turn off the copier and back on, the mailbox names are back... I am interested in what resolved that problem for you!

I agree, there's that delay once in awhile.
