    card reader

    hi people - have a card reader d1 to install on 5151/5185 (whatever you wanna call it) I know how to fit it I just dont know how to program the cards and can't find any info anywhere I have two sets of cards(i presume 1 master set and the other for all users)

    any help? thanks

    The card reader is installed in a way suited to its host machine. See the Service Manual of
    the respective host machine.

        Select: COPIER > FUNCTION > INSTALL > CARD, and then enter a
        given number from 1 to 2001 (first number of the customer's user card)
        Press [Reset] to exit from the service mode.
        Turn OFF the power supply following the shut-down sequence.
        Turn On the main power switch.


        COPIER>FUNCTION>INSTALL>CARD
        Used to make card reader installation settings.
        Setting values
        1 to 2001 [Factory default/After RAM clear: 1]
        Operation method Enter the number of cards to use. (You can use up to 1,000 cards from the entered number.)
        Initialize the card management information.
        - Initialize the card name (department ID) (from the entered number).
        - Initialize the card's password.




        When attaching the card reader, be sure to attach it with its label indicating
        the direction to insert the card on the surface.
        **Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
