for the dual-line fax board, make sure the wire harness from the fax board to the main controller pcb is connected to j1005.
check that the yellow wiring harness is the correct one. Check that all pins on both sides of the harness are terminated. You must use the harness supplied with this fax option.

ok, lets begin with the basics... first at all make sure, that the two analog lines are working correctly by attaching a phone to it. (i have an old headset from a canon fax 170 with me, comes very handy to check lines) , if that is done and all works fine, connect the fax module with only a 2 wire cable to the jack, to make sure, that no failure in the jack connections is the reason for malfunctioning. What happens?

if u do not see the Dual Line Options
then u better check that your Fax Modem cable connection is in correct spot
For the Dual-Line Fax Board, make sure the wire harness from the fax board to the Main Controller PCB is connected to J1005.
make sure it is not in J1030
INSTALL INFO
ANOTHER THING/IN SERVICE MODE -under COPIER > DISPLAY > VERSION , if u see
PSTN=On Board Fax.
u have a single fax
imageRUNNER 2270 / 2870 / 3570 / 4570
With a single line fax board installed in the machine, it is normal to see the fax version as PSTN=On Board Fax.
If a dual line fax board is installed in the machine, a version number will be displayed.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment
