I think we are misunderstanding each other. Customer is prohibited to sell the cloned HDD. prepared solely for their own "backup" to the original HDD! I guess technically there is no difference between the laptop storage and install the backup software compare. But I may be wrong.

Security is always the issue/ you just can't backup everyone's HDD on your Companies/or Personal Laptop ??

Cloned HDD's can get lost or stolen , including Laptops

We only clone the original & virgin HDD, not the one at customer permises. After installing them we then import back the backup which we had export/save earlier through RUI & thats all. No sensitive data involve so NO security issues. And the backup exported earlier are strictly address book for SMB scanning & user mode settings. (eg. ID & customs setting of machine)

OK. I think my English is bad because it is not clear to you what I would like saying to you.
I'll explain step by step.

E602 error code when crashes the MFD.

1. step: start the MFD in DOWNLOAD mode.
2. step: to be installed in the original canon of the HDD in the MF Device
3. Step: Formating HDD with SST.
4. Step: Upload the system, RUI, Language, BOOT etc.
5. Step: Switch off the MFD
6. step: To remove the HDD from the MFD
7. Step: Make a back up from the HDD. (. IMG)
8. Step: Put it back into the original HDD in the MFD
9. Step: Switch on the MFD

Enjoy working in the copier.

the next time when E6002 error you're just upload the back up to the HDD from the img file and ready. the entire 10 minutes.

The software is the same for your laptop as a "TOOL SERV" directory only in an image format.

There is your laptop to a Serv Tool library of Canon firmwares, and another Backup library with the image file. The image file and the "SERV TOOL" library content
is exactly the same.
