IRC 3200 paper size wont go to universal

Hi I was hoping someone could help me with this, I find this problem very odd, the paper size wont switch to universal on all four trays, it will shift to all the other paper sizes except u1 and u2,when the lever is moved on the tray, but when i slide it on U1 and U2 letter appears ? , i'm really puzzled , I have tried to switch paper trays from a different machine that would register u1 and u2 but it seems it is in the settings that was set in the machine that it is always on letter when it is switched to universal ,
how can I correct this ? thanks in advance

To Change the Paper Type for a Cassette:
    1.
On the Control Panel display, select *Additional Functions.
    2. Select Common Settings.
    3. Scroll to the next screen and select Store Paper Type.
    4. Select the cassette you want to change and then chose the media type. Choose OK.
    5. Select Done 3x.

Thanks so much for the quick reply, i tried the procedure just now but I cant find store paper type, there is
      drawer eligibility for APS/ADS ,
      register paper type,
      inch entry,
register irregular size for stack paper bypass, i tried to change all possible settings but still it registers letter all the time. I also initialized the common settings, but still it comes out letter is there some other procedures I can do? -
      thanks so much in advance

on the Cassette you have adjustments =
        1. is the size rotation Knob/Wheel -top right side edge
        2. is the left side slide adjustment
        3. is the slide adjust inside cassette to but against paper- under that plate those white plastic gears fall off the plastic posts/ posts also break off/ slide looks like it's in position, but when u push tray , the back bounces off cassette switch
        4. that little slide plastic tab-near wheel/ for Inch/A-B
        5. that mobile plastic piece that sits on back edge of paper

INSIDE machine cassette tray slots there are sensors that read the trays/ look in to see if paper is stuck blocking the spring arm action

HI teckat , thanks for your quick reply, it seems that all the hardware is ok , I have another machine that registers U1 and U2 and I just transferred the tray but still it doesnt register, it keeps on showing LTR , actually it would shift to all the other sizes except U1 and U2 which it registers letter , but my problem is our paper size here is 8 1/2 x 13 and the legal size registered in the machine is 81/2 x 14, it jams when it passes, the bypass tray can be used , but i cannot use the legal 13 in the tray it seems it is in the machine setting and i cant find a way to change it any more suggestions? - Thanks

when u remove the trays out from the issue machine/ did u try them in the machine that registers U1 U2 as OK !

U can try a DCON CLR/ BUT BEFORE u do print out the P-PRINTS , SO U CAN INPUT THE SETTINGS BACK IN

Do u have the original P PRINT settings under door cover ???
check those against your settings now
