What model would be a good start.
    Yes, I am a nerd.
Gaming PC - check. Raspberry Pi - Check. Custom ROM on phone - check. Thick glasses - check.

      Cannon C2620

I have a c2620 that when I turn it on I get a error code E00001-0003. It say to turn on/off on side of unit, which I have done but still get the same code.

Reset the code in service mode & then cycle power. If problem does not return .....could have been a fluke. If problem continues check component & connectors.

Oops-thought u were a tech--- *28*. Then function-error-clr. If you not a tech and are going to work on this machine....download the service manual online from somebody & familiarize yourself with service mode before you attempt to use it.

do a google search for the IR C3220 service manual & download it and familiarize yourself with service mode. The books are available for immediate download in pdf format and only cost about $12. If you are going to work on your own machine its a good investment.

                You don't want download mode.
When you hit *28* a service mode screen should come up with tabs at the top. Select function tab then Clear then err and hit ok. Cycle power.

Thanks for the help...not getting very far..
Maybe its how I am doing it. I turn on unit, after two loading screans I get the errow screen. I push *28* and nothing happens. Please clarify.
In the mean time I will try to get service manual.

You must have held down the 2 & 8 keys while turning on pwr to enter download mode - which was not my advice....thats why you should download the book my friend!

I think you should place a service call and maybe your tech can talk you through it.

To clarify things---------from the main copier ready screen hit the asterisk to the left of number pad, then release it and hold down the 2 and the 8 at the same time, then release them and hit asterisk. Boom- you are in service mode and can do the function - clr - err procedure. Good luck - hope that helps.

press user function key, then 2 and 8 together, then press user function key again, should get you into service mode. only do this when it has booted up to the error screen. user function key is the star in a head shape key. only goto tab mentioned earlier and clear as you can do more harm than good if you mess around with some settings. if error re occurs you will need a tech, as it is a fuser unit abnormality and will need parts.

                            Jay.

                            *Additional functions > 2&8 (At the same time) >*Additional funtions> Copier>function>clear>err>ok>reboot.

You must be fast once the code pops up.

Sometimes if you hit the reset button and try again it goes into service mode.

Let me know how you feel about having a tech look at your machine.

I thought it worthwhile to add extra emphasis to collme's warning to only go to the tabs and settings mentioned to clear your error. Don't change or clear other stuff in service mode-----

PS Did you get that manual? here's a link http://www.smpcshop.com/iR-C3200-iR-...20-p-1779.html to one of many sites you can buy it from. Don't let the model # throw you...It's the same model you have.
