    Color Displacement IRC3380

    Good day all,

I have a customer with a problem of color displacement, On testing the machine myself I found that Magenta and yellow is off and not below overlaid properly over Cyan and Black which is perfect.

I ask customer about the service label that was suppose to attached to the machine outside but they are unable to find it.

is there a way to find the original settings? or do I have to do it by trial and error.

The only colors that are off are Magenta and Yellow, what else would you guys recommend?

is this a Paper feed (LEAD EDGE TO TRAIL EDGE) direction issue or a Crossfeed ( FRONT TO BACK) issue ??

    For a Crossfeed issue> see below>>
Enter Service Mode: Level 2 > Copier > Function > Clear > Reg/Clear. Highlight Reg/Clear and press OK.
After performing the clear, reboot the machine and perform a Gradation Quick Adjust and then a Full Gradation adjust.

    Note*
Following the instructions above could prevent you from having to perform a DC-CON clear, and inputting all DC-CON values from the door label
    .

look inside/ pasted to right side door
    //

if u lost it/ u need to recover all laser settings of the label of each unit inside printer
do not clear any DCON or RCON settings- print out a P PRINT and a USER Data Print
    / work from them

u need to check your ITB belt & make sure it is locked down firmly /
there are issues with this ITB unit , locking down

Try Removing the noise dampening pad for the Registration sensor flag and then performing Reg-Clear, Quick Adjust and then adjusting the IMG-REG .

I did a perform a test pattern from inside the machine PG test using number 14 which produces Horizontal color patterns on Long edge feed letter paper.

      Magenta overlaps
      Yellow Overlaps

      Black is Fine
      Cyan Is fine

The paper that was in the door was removed by is unknown. I suspected I may need to open the laser units to get the reading from the laser units if they were somehow changed.

ITB belt is locked in position I personally check myself.

        print out those P PRINTS/

        try that Level 2 adjustment/

        do a PG 6

U can swap the lasers on this model to see if issue carry's over/ Swap the yellow with the black/ see if issue travels with it

Good Day all, teckat I would like to thank you for the assistance given, the problem was solved by doing a full gradation adjustment, during that adjustment I found the cyan drum to be defect. It was replaced, I performed a final adjustment and all is now good.

            Thanks again.

Now I am off to correct a E733-000 error on a canon IR3300.
